HSX Achieves HITRUST Certification
HealthShare Exchange (HSX) was deeply gratified to achieve HITRUST CSF® certification, earlier this year.  Kudos to our technical and security team for attaining this high bar of proof that HSX is managing risk, continuously improving its security posture, and meeting compliance requirements.  HSX is among the vanguard of health information exchanges (HIEs) to achieve this recognition.  Learn more.

 
Presenting to the Worldwide HIMSS Audience
HealthShare Exchange had an important presence at HIMSS18, the largest annual health information technology meeting in the world, bringing together 40,000+ health IT professionals, clinicians, executives, and vendors.  With two presentations to the general body and more than an half-dozen staff members in attendance, HSX made important contributions.  Learn more.

Delaware Valley HIMSS Brings Together HIT Experts to Talk Innovation
Innovation was in the air at the annual Winter Symposium of the Delaware Valley Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (DVHIMSS) on January 18, 2018.  With the HealthShare Exchange staff helping to lead and organize, the event drew some of most accomplished health information technology (HIT) professionals from the region and beyond to attend and share their leading-edge work.  “Serial entrepreneur” Steve Barsh from well-known innovation accelerator Dreamit struck a theme of bold advancement within prudent business guidelines.  Learn more.

Don’t miss the Philadelphia Health IT Summit, brought to you by Healthcare Informatics in partnership with HealthShare Exchange, May 21 - 22, 2018 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown.  Opening remarks by Neil Gomes, Jefferson Health Chief Digital Officer, followed by a lead-off panel discussion on delivering better care to consumers, moderated by HSX’s president, Marty Lupinetti. Concurrent with the meeting, HSX conducts the Consumer Health-Data-Exchange Hackathon. (Consumer health-app developers, you are invited to come compete, with access to the HSX MarketStreet platform. PAC Organizations Embrace HSX Services
Post-acute care organizations have flocked to the value of participation in HealthShare Exchange.  With support from an onboarding grant, more than 35 facilities contracted with HSX between January and March 2018 — for a total PAC membership in HSX of some 80 locations currently.  Learn more about how HSX health information exchange services benefit care, efficiency, and outcomes at PAC facilities.

HSX Webinars Explain Importance of HIE Connectivity to CPC+ Participation
On January 19th and February 1st, HSX hosted educational webinars for practices participating in the Greater Philadelphia Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) Program.  Webinar attendees:

CPC+ practices taking advantage of the HSX service are able to access quarterly performance reports derived from claims data for each reporting period and review measures in the report, view individual and practice-level data, and monitor trends over time.  Update: As of this month, 90 percent of the region’s CPC+ practices are participating with HSX.

Kressly Peds Wins HIMSS HIT-Use Award
Congratulations to HSX participant, Kressly Pediatrics, of Warrington, Pa. on receiving the HIMSS Davies Award for Innovation. The distinction recognizes use of health information technology that has improved patient outcomes.
