Kay is responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting information technology at Main Line Health. She plays a critical role in establishing Epic as the Main Line’s single, integrated electronic medical record system.
Kay brings an extensive healthcare IT leadership background to her role at Main Line Health. She spent four years with Encore, a leading national health care IT consulting firm, where she worked with several health systems as an interim CIO. She also held the position of President and CEO of the Greater Houston Health Connect, where she led a community HIE organization during its planning phase, resulting in a business and operating plan that received a multi-million-dollar grant from the State of Texas. The funding was the basis for creating a community HIE covering 20 counties with support from more than 120 hospitals and over 14,000 physicians.
Carr was a member of the leadership team for more than 20 years at St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System in Houston, serving as the system’s controller prior to holding the HIE CIO position for 13 years.
Kay has a bachelor's degree in education from Louisiana State University.
