Prior to joining HSX, Melisa was a population health project manager at Jefferson Health, on the practice design and care coordination team. She led population health initiatives and operational management of grants to help drive improvements in health outcomes and the patient experience in Jefferson primary care offices.
Melisa began her career at Jefferson as an intern in the Strategy and Business Development Department, helping to create the department’s internship program and participate in Jefferson's population health workgroup.
She earned her master of public health degree, concentrating in health management and policy, at Drexel University.
Prior to pursuing her master’s, Melisa worked as a certified health and fitness specialist after graduating from Rutgers University with her bachelor of science degree in exercise science. In her spare time, she continues to work part-time as a health and fitness specialist at the Drexel Recreation Center.
