Harm is a strategic advisor at Scherpbier.health, the consulting practice through which he partners with health IT firms on clinical system development, population health solutions, analytics, and health IT implementation and strategy.  He is also an adjunct faculty member at the Jefferson College of Population Health, teaching health informatics and population health analytics, both online and in person.  In addition, he is a member of the leadership team at the Philadelphia Health IT Circle.

Harm was previously the chief medical information officer at Main Line Health, a five-hospital integrated health network near Philadelphia, where he was responsible for the implementation of healthcare information systems and electronic patient records for physicians, nurses, and other clinicians throughout the health system.  Earlier, he held positions in software engineering and product management at Siemens Health Services, CareScience, Aetna US Healthcare, and SMS. 

Harm was born and raised in the Netherlands.  He completed his medical training at the University of Groningen and his master’s degree in medical informatics at Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
